The setting is a hillside area at an elevation of 7,700 feet in northeast Arizona. The objective was to provide the greatest amount of interior spaciousness as well as a strong relationship to the forest without the loss of privacy. The homes decentralized plan includes a 540-square-foot detached guesthouse, a separate children's playhouse, a tower accessed by a spiral staircase and a private study off the master suite.
