The owners wanted to find ways to accommodate the
adult and family duality of their life. The ultimate
design combines spaces for entertaining that are
suitable for uses with and without children
including a kids-only play loft that is visually
separate but acoustically accessible, and a media
room with acoustic separation and the latest
technologies. The owner's did not want a home that
stood out from the landscape, but rather one that
married itself seamlessly to its environment. The
approach resulted in a subtle complex of sculptural
form bathed in a palette of background colors.
