Talking Rock Ranch
Yavapai County, AZ
3,400 acres

Located 12 miles northwest of the historic square in downtown Prescott, Arizona this master planned community features preserved natural rock and archeological sites, including Inscription Canyon, a historic Yavapai Indian petroglyph site and an extensive path and trails/open space system. Talking Rock has an 18-hole championship golf course and a unique Ranch Compound to serve as golf clubhouse, ranch kitchen, post office, and fitness barn. The Ranch Compound creates a gathering and activities place for families and indeed, the entire community.

The 3,400-acre site will be home to approximately 1,650 dwellings units with a variety of home sites sizes ranging from one-half acre to over five acres. The master plan also includes the historic “homestead" and “cattle tank” parks that help residents remember the ranch’s rich past.

In addition to the Master Planning, Swaback Partners created the architecture for the Ranch including the aforementioned Ranch Compound buildings, the Entry House, and all golf-related buildings. Recently, the Talking Rock Golf Clubhouse was recognized as the runner-up for “Private Golf Clubhouse of the Year” by Golf Inc. Magazine.
